Thompson pulled away and started to close in on Sandberg while Alex Thompson challenged Schuh for third. Alex Thompson passed Schuh as Stan Thompson got loose, losing valuable ground to the leader. Alex Thompson started to reel in his father, Stan Thompson, for second. However, when the checkered flag waved, Ken Sandberg picked up victory number nine of the season. Stan Thompson finished ahead of his son, Alex Thompson. Paul Schuh finished fourth while Lane Doll finished a season best of fifth place.

SANDBERG WINS IN THRILLER FINISH

Outside pole sitter, Dylan Sandberg powered into the lead in the Hobby Stock feature. Second place, John Gartner Jr, was all over Sandberg’s rear bumper while third place, Daniel Kaseman, had his hands full with Bill Hultberg and Chris Welk Jr. As the battle for the lead was heating up, it was a three car battle for third. Hultberg shuffled into the third position as the leaders started to get into lapped traffic. Using the lapped traffic to his advantage, Sandberg was able to hold off Gartner for the lead. However, on the final lap, Gartner dove low into corners one and two. As the leaders started to run into lapped traffic once more, it allowed Hultberg to close in. Running into corners three and four for the final time, Hultberg dove low under Sandberg and Gartner. They raced three wide coming to the checkered flag. As they crossed the finish line, Dylan Sandberg held off John Gartner Jr and Bill Hultberg. Chris Welk Jr finished fourth while Daniel Kaseman rounded out the top five.

It looked like Donavin Wiest would cruise to yet another victory however a late race caution changed everything. On the restart with two laps to go, Austin Wiest powered by along the outside of Donavin Wiest to take the lead. Austin Wiest led the final two laps to win his first Dacotah Speedway victory. Donavin Wiest settled for second place ahead of Nate Keena. Drew Papke held off Brandon Anderson for fourth.

Points leader, Hunter Domagala, hugging the guard rail, quickly moved up through the field to challenge Berg for second. Domagala passed Berg as Berg started to fall into the clutches of Shawn Volk and Matt Dosch. As Domagala reeled in Frederick, it became a three car battle for third place. As the laps wound down, Dosch shuffled into the third position. When the white flag waved, Domagala threw a hail mary last lap pass for the win. As they crossed the finish line, Zach Frederick just narrowly held off Hunter Domagala for the win. Matt Dosch finished third while Jason Berg edged Shawn Volk for fourth.

Cautions came early and often throughout the feature but each time Seidler pulled away on the restart. A thrilling battle for second was heating up between Crist Pittenger and Mark Dahl. They raced side by side for several laps before Dahl slipped by. Pittenger fell into the clutches of Quentin Kinzley and Shawn Strand.
