GILBERT WINS FROM THE POLE

The IMCA Sport Compact feature started the evening. Minot’s James Gilbert started on the pole as Ken Sandberg quickly flew through the field. As the field completed lap one, Sandberg was battling Stan Thompson and Paul Schuh for second place. While Gilbert pulled away from the field, Schuh shuffled into second place. Despite catching lapped traffic near the end of the race, Gilbert did not slow down as he led all 12 laps to dominate the IMCA Sport Compact feature. Paul Schuh had to settle for second ahead Stan Thompson. Ken Sandberg finished fourth while Larry King rounded out the top five.

CAUTIONS PLAGUE HOBBY STOCK FEATURE

After a complete restart in the Hobby Stock feature, Dylan Sandberg slipped by pole sitter Curt Michaelsohn for the lead. Cautions came early and often throughout the feature, regrouping the field. While Sandberg continued to distance himself on the restarts, Michaelsohn had his hands full for second place with Josh Roehrich and Mike Appert. A mid-race race roll over halted the feature as Jeremy Wetzel rolled down the frontstretch, thankfully the driver was ok but his night ended early. Due to numerous cautions, the race was cut short due to time limit. Race officials declared Dylan Sandberg the feature winner over Curt Michaelsohn and Mike Appert. Josh Roehrich finished fourth while Derrick Appert finished fifth.

WIEST GOES THREE FOR THREE IN MANDAN

Pole sitter Tommie Quenzer led the field to the green flag in the INEX Legends feature. Quenzer led the first couple laps before points leader Donavin Wiest took the lead on lap three. Cautions plagued the feature however, Wiest held onto the lead on each and every restart. Although the feature was cut short due to time limit, Donavin Wiest was declared the feature winner for the third week in a row. Ivan Sailer finished runner up ahead of third place Preston Martin. Ryan Braseth, who started 25th, finished fourth while Brandon Anderson rounded out the top five.

DOSCH RETURNS TO VICTORY LANE

Matt Dosch grabbed the lead from pole sitter Jason Meidinger in the WISSOTA Street Stock feature. Dosch pulled away as Meidinger started to fade through the field, losing positions to Hunter Domagala, John Feist and Jason Berg. While racing for second, Feist over drove turn four, dropping out of the top 10. Hugging the guardrail, Domagala closed in on leader Dosch. But once again, Dosch distanced himself from the field as Zach Frederick, who started seventh, reeled in Domagala for second. Frederick was all over Domagala bumper as the laps wound down. When the checkered flag waved, Hunter Domagala edged Zach Frederick for second place. Tracy Domagala finished a career best of fourth place ahead of Shawn Volk while Matt Dosch led all 20 laps to win his second career feature WISSOTA Street Stock

SMOKIN’ HANK BERRY WINS IN DOMINATING FASHION

When the green flag waved in the IMCA Modified feature, Hank Berry and Marcus Tomlinson raced side by side for the lead. They raced door to door for several laps before Berry cleared Tomlinson for first. As Berry started to pull away, Travis Olheiser passed Travis Tooley for third while Marlyn Seidler lurked in fifth. A mid-race caution erased Berry’s huge lead over the field and on the restart, Berry distanced himself from the field once again. A late race caution reset the field and on the final restart, Seidler battled Travis Olheiser for third place. However, when the checkered flag waved, Marlyn Seidler narrowly finished ahead of Travis Ohleiser for third place while Jeremy Keller finished fifth. Picking up the feature win was Hank Berry over second place Marcus Tomlinson.
