SANDBERG EXTENDS POINTS LEAD WITH VICTORY

Shad Pederson and Lane Doll started on the front row of the IMCA Sport Compact feature. They raced door to door for the lead allowing Stan Thompson and Ken Sandberg to make it a four car battle. Contact among the leaders allowed Sandberg to slip by and pull away from the field. Stan Thompson shuffled into the second position as Pederson and Alex Thompson raced for third. Ken Sandberg dominated and won his seventh feature victory of the season. Stan Thompson finished a distant second ahead of Alex Thompson. Shad Pederson finished fourth as Mason Rust finished fifth in his racing debut.

ENGELHARDT DENIES HOENER OF FIRST FEATURE VICTORY

Pole sitter Karlie Hoerner led the field to the green flag in the Hobby Stock feature. She quickly pulled away from the field but a lap seven caution regrouped the field. On the restart, Braydee Hanson passed Keith McCleary for second, bringing Jeremy Engelhardt with him. Engelhardt then passed Hanson for second and set his sights on Hoerner. Engelhardt reeled in Hoerner late in the race. With three laps to go, they raced side by side for the win. Taking the white flag, Engelhardt cleared Hoerner to secure the lead, bringing Hanson with him. After leading much of the race, Karlie Horner finished a heartbreaking third place. Curt Michaelsohn just narrowly edged Chris Welk Jr for fourth place. While Jeremy Engelhardt led the final two laps to win his second feature victory over second place Braydee Hanson.

PAPKE HOLDS OFF WIEST FOR DACOTAH SPEEDWAY WIN

After a complete restart, Casey Martin took the lead in the INEX Legends feature. Casey Martin led early but it soon became a three wide battle for the lead between Casey Martin, Preston Martin and Austin Wiest. Unfortunately, Casey Martin got shuffled into the third position as Austin Wiest and Preston Martin battled for the lead. Austin Wiest cleared Preston Martin for the lead until Drew Papke made it a three car battle once again. Drew Papke, using the low line, took the lead with eight laps to go. Austin Wiest rallied back but could not get around Papke. Drew Papke won his fourth feature victory of the season. Austin Wiest edged Ivan Sailer at the finish line to finish second while Preston Martin finished fourth. Defending track champion, Donavin Wiest, rounded out the top five.

FREDERICK GOES FOR THREE IN A ROW IN MANDAN

When the green flag waved, Shawn Volk and John Feist battled for the lead in the WISSOTA Street Stock feature. Feist faded early, as Volk, Spencer Johnson and Zach Frederick raced three wide for the lead. Frederick shuffled into the lead and started to pull away. Hunter Domagala, who started ninth, moved into the second position as Volk and Nathan Messmer battled for fourth. Crossing the finish line, Shawn Volk held off Nathan Messmer for fourth. Spencer Johnson finished third behind second place Hunter Domagala as Zach Frederick pulled away to win his third feature victory in a row.

POINTS LEADER KELLER WINS AGAIN

It was a three car battle for the lead in the IMCA Modified feature between Scott Gartner, Zach Frederick and Mark Dahl. Frederick shuffled into the lead as Jeremy Keller quickly worked his way into the top five and passed Dahl for second. Using the highline around the track, Keller reeled in Frederick and they briefly raced for the lead. Keller took the lead on lap five and pulled away from the field. Frederick then lost positions to Quentin Kinzley, Dahl and Spencer Wilson. Finding speed on the high side of the track, Dahl and Wilson made it a three car battle for second. When the checkered flag waved, Jeremy Keller picked up the feature win. Mark Dahl held off Spencer Wilson for second place. Quentin Kinzley finished fourth while Zach Frederick finished fifth.
